SOUTH EAST CORNWALL Pendower Guest House is ideally situated for exploring South East Cornwall - a land of sandy beaches, cliff walks, cornish fishing harbours, quiet country lanes and pretty villages, and moorland dotted with prehistoric sites and mining heritage. Further afield, but within easy reach, are the world famous Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. The town of Looe, split into East and West Looe by the Looe river, is a busy fishing harbour, with fresh fish landed daily on Buller Quay. The streets of the town are narrow, and lead down to the sandy beach and banjo pier, which is overlooked by the Pendower Guest House. From the guest house the cliff path leads westward towards Talland Bay, and then on to Polperro, with its steep sided valley running down to the harbour. There are many quality restaurants and inns to choose from in both Looe and Polperro, or for light meals choose from traditional cornish pasties and cornish cream teas available in many of the cafes.
